Trajan H. Carney practice focuses primarily in litigation in the areas of construction law, general civil litigation, labor and employment law, business litigation, insurance coverage, and environmental law. He has represented owners, contractors, and subcontractors in a variety of construction related matters and is experienced in representing contractors in insurance coverage disputes involving commercial general liability policies. Mr. Carney represents both employers and employees in discrimination claims under state and federal laws. Additionally, he represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death matters.
Mr. Carney received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee and his LL.M. in International Legal Studies with a concentration in International Environmental Law from American University, Washington College of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Carney is admitted to the Tennessee Bar, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
